VANCOUVER, Wash. — How do you prepare a child for kindergarten? Hear from a panel of early childhood educators at Washington State University Vancouver as they discuss the expectations of kindergarten teachers, what parents can do to help children get ready for kindergarten and how to ease the transition to kindergarten. The free session takes place Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m. in the Student Services building, Room 129.
Hosted by WSU Vancouver’s Child Development and Human Development programs, the panel features Jan Jewett, human development instructor and director of WSU Vancouver’s Child Development Program; Carol Hall, early childhood specialist with Educational Service District 112; and Laura Bolt, early childhood specialist with the Vancouver School District.
