PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State University School of Music and Theatre Arts will present its end of the semester dance performance “Everyone Wants to Do Hip-Hop (well almost everyone)” at 8 p.m., Dec. 4, in Wadleigh Theatre in Daggy Hall.
The recital features some 60 students from the jazz and modern dance classes. The intermediate and advanced level dance students will perform dances they choreographed, as well dances choreographed by WSU instructor Phyllis Gooden-Young.
A variety of styles of dance will be presented at the recital including hip-hop, jazz, ballet, modern and tango. The students will perform to the music of Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Missy Elliot, Debulah Morgan, Faith Evans, Moby and others.
