Gran Folklorico de Mexico Plans Oct. 14 Performance at WSU

PULLMAN, Wash. — Gran Folklorico de Mexico, a dance troupe from Mexico City, will be performing at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, at Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum.

The dance troupe includes 35 dancers, singers and musicians. They perform a range of music from ancient Incan and Aztec rituals to mariachi. The lively, colorful show spans 1,000 years of Mexican history in dance and music.

The performance is the first of six shows in the Great Performance Series at Beasley Coliseum sponsored by Festival Dance and Performing Arts in Moscow, Idaho. Festival Dance is a non-profit organization that has dance academies in Pullman, and Moscow, Lewiston and Genesee, Idaho.
