MEDIA ADVISORY: WSU President to Announce Scholarship Program for State’s High School Scholars, Aug. 24

Washington State University President V. Lane Rawlins plans to announce details of a $3 million WSU scholarship program for high-achieving students in the state of Washington. Every high school principal in the state will be asked to nominate up to two students who – if they attend WSU – have the opportunity to receive scholarships of $2,500 to $14,000.

This is President Rawlins’ traditional back-to-school press conference. He, too, will have comments on WSU’s enrollment hikes and other fall activities at the university.

Media can attend the 9 a.m. press conference, set for the conference room in French Administration Building, Room 442, on the Pullman campus or join the event by calling 509/335-6338 and add the code 3033#, when prompted. (The pound sign # must be part of the four-digit code.)
