College of Education Faculty, Staff Awards Announced

PULLMAN, Wash. — At the May 11 all-college meeting for the Washington State University College of Education, Dean Judy Mitchell presented the following awards to faculty and staff.

Lynda Hatch, Boeing Distinguished Professor of Science Education, received the Faculty Excellence Award for Teaching.

Associate professor Mimi Wolverton received the Faculty Excellence Award for Research.

The Faculty Excellence Award for Service was awarded to the five co-principal investigators directing the CO-TEACH project statewide: assistant professor Dawn Shinew, assistant professor Tariq Akmal, associate professor Michael Pavel, professor Gerald Maring and professor Merrill Oaks.

Barb Smith, fiscal technician, received the Staff Excellence Award.
