WSU 100K Relay, Solo Race Set for April 8

PULLMAN, Wash. — The 12th annual Washington State University 100K Relay and Solo race is planned for April 8.

The 62-plus-mile loop starts at the Hollingbery Fieldhouse in Pullman and travels through the rural Palouse country of southeast Washington. Runners will pass Wawawai, go along the Snake River, up Steptoe Canyon, and through Colton and Johnson to finish at the fieldhouse. The race begins at 6 a.m. for solos and 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. for teams.

The race is expected to attract nearly 800 runners. Students of the Moscow School of Massage will provide free massages to finishing runners. Relay team members receive T-shirts, and solos receive sweatshirts. Ribbons will be given through fifth place in all relay divisions. A special “rocking chair” award is given to all team members winning the seniors category. Overall solo winners of each division will receive awards and ribbons through fifth place.

Registration forms are available at www.wsu100k.wsu.edu or at the WSU Conferences and Professional Programs office, Van Doren Hall, Room 208. The early registration deadline is March 27, and the fee is $16 per person for teams of up to 10 people and $40 for solos. Registration will be accepted through April 6 with a late fee of $50 per team and $15 per solo.
