Bilingual Education Awareness Day Announced

PULLMAN, Wash. — Future teachers studying bilingual education and English as a second language at Washington State University’s College of Education will host a bilingual education awareness day from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Thursday, March 15. The free, public activities will take place on the first floor foyer of Cleveland Hall on the WSU campus.

The Student Association for Bilingual Education and English as a Second Language will staff six booths explaining various elements of bilingual education. Prizes such as pizza coupons and T-shirts will be given to those attending the event.

The awareness day activities are part of ESL/Bilingual Education Week, officially recognized in Washington from March 11-16.
