WSU Museum of Art to Present Solstice Quintet Concert

PULLMAN, Wash. — A concert by the Solstice Wind Quintet is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at Washington State University’s Fine Arts Center.

The quintet will perform familiar works, including “March” by John Barrows and “Quintet for Winds, Op. 45” by Robert Muczynski. Quintet members are Ann Yasinitsky, flute; James Schoepflin, clarinet; Gary Plowman, oboe; Susan Hess, bassoon; Roger Logan, horn; and special guest Anthony Taylor, bass clarinet.

The WSU Museum of Art and the School of Music and Theatre Arts sponsor the concert. It is open to the public without charge. Families are encouraged to come, but seating is limited.

Following the March concert, the quintet will leave for the Olympia area to represent WSU at several school concerts.

The Museum of Art gallery will be open for the concert. Its weekly hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday; 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Thursday; and 1-5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
