Preschoolers Fun Festival Scheduled at WSU

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Student Washington Education Association (SWEA) at Washington State University is sponsoring the first annual Harvest Festival at Cleveland Hall on the WSU campus from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9.

At the festival, 20 future teachers who are members of SWEA will lead educational activities and games for approximately 80 preschool children, aged 2 to 5, from three local child care facilities, explained Jennifer Ross, SWEA president.

Ross, a senior elementary education major from Granger, said that the games are designed to be fun for the children as well as an opportunity for the WSU students to have some hands-on experience designing and leading children’s activities.

The activities will fill the foyer areas on the first, second and third floors of Cleveland Hall, Ross said.
