PULLMAN, Wash. — More than 40 organizations representing a spectrum of businesses and vocations will be on the Washington State University campus from noon-4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, for the 10th annual Business Career Fair.

Sponsored by the MBA Association and the College of Business and Economics’ Graduate Programs Office, the event for students and other career-seekers will be in the ballroom of the Compton Union Building. The career fair will allow organizations to showcase their operations and to meet and talk with prospective employees and interns in an informal setting.

Among the organizations slated to be at the fair are The Boeing Co., Micron PC, Sun Valley Co., the Defense Contract Management Agency, Andersen Consulting, First Investors’ Corp., PACCAR Parts, the U.S. Navy, State Farm Insurance Co., E&J Gallo Wineries, Taco Bell Corp., Wells Fargo Financial and Alaska Airlines. Representatives from some of the organizations will remain on campus the following day for interviews.

“This is a great opportunity for students to learn about careers in many types of world-class organizations,” says Michelle Baird, MBA career fair director and student from Santa Monica, Calif. “They can gear up for the event at a special ‘info night’ set for 3:30-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, in Todd Hall, Room 109, on the WSU campus.

“Members of the MBA Association will help them research the companies and give them tips on dress, resumes, and interviewing skills and techniques,” she said.
