M-PACT Due at WSU for Dad’s Weekend

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Seattle-based a capella group, M-PACT, will perform
Saturday, Oct. 21, as part of Dad’s Weekend activities on the Washington
State University campus. The 8 p.m. program is planned for Beasley Performing
Arts Coliseum.

Critics call M-PACT one of the best contemporary pop jazz vocal groups. The
ensemble was organized in 1995 and divides its time touring, recording and
holding clinics.

Combining the elements of rhythm and blues, jazz and pop, the group sings
every note and every beat, creating the sound of a band with just their mouths
and microphones. It has won two first place honors for best holiday album and
best holiday song from the Contemporary Capella Recording Awards.

Reserved tickets are $13.50 for the general public and $10 for WSU students.
Tickets are available at the Beasley Coliseum ticket office and through all G&B
ticket outlets, by phone at 1-800/325-SEAT or online at www.ticketwest.com.
