WSU Fiesta Aztlan Activities Set Friday, Sept. 15

PULLMAN, Wash. — Fiesta Aztlan activities all day Friday, Sept. 15, will celebrate Mexican Independence Day at Washington State University.

The WSU Chicano Latino Student Center and the university’s Chicano Latino Student Alliance are co-sponsoring the day.

According to Francisco Noe Tamayo, Washington State retention counselor, the activities will include:

–Chicano Latino Student Center Open House, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Wilson Hall, Room 101. Meet the counselor and visit with students. Cake and refreshments will be provided.

–Speakers and activities on Glenn Terrell Mall, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., presented by Sabor de la Raza student group.

–Baile (dance) in Stephenson Downunder, 8 p.m.-midnight.
