Governor Appoints Student Matthew Moore to WSU Board of Regents

PULLMAN, Wash. — Gov. Gary Locke has appointed Washington State
University student Matthew Moore as a member of the WSU Board of
Regents. Moore’s term begins June 1 and runs through May 31, 2001.

Moore, of Ephrata, is a junior majoring in finance and a student in the WSU
Honors College.

Since coming to WSU, Moore has served as an ASWSU senator, a member of
the Services and Activities Fees Committee, and is a member of the Phi Kappa
Theta fraternity. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, skiing and working
with several philanthropic organizations.

After graduating, Moore hopes to pursue a career in commercial or investment
banking.

Moore is the third WSU student regent, succeeding Bernadett Buchanan of
Spokane.
