WSU Plans Summer Orientation for Freshmen, Transfer Students

PULLMAN, Wash. — Nine orientation sessions are planned in June and July
for freshmen and transfer students at Washington State University.

Alive!, the new student orientation program, begins June 14 with its first
two-day session for fall freshmen. Other sessions are planned for June 18-19,
June 25-26, June 29-30, July 13-14, July 19-20, July 23-24 and July 27-28. A
special session for transfer students is planned for July 9-10.

During the session, students will meet with faculty advisers and register for fall
classes. The new Cougars also will review possible academic majors and career
opportunities and extracurricular activities available at the university.

Placement exams will be given at all freshmen sessions.
