PULLMAN, Wash. — Three former Washington State University quarterbacks are using
their celebrity status to help the Children’s Miracle Network raise more than $350,000 for local
pediatric services and programs.
Drew Bledsoe, Ryan Leaf and Mark Rypien are featured on a full-color, limited edition
lithograph being sold by the Children’s Miracle Network. The proceeds will directly benefit 10
affiliated hospitals and pediatric facilities throughout the Inland Northwest.
The Children’s Miracle Network is an international organization that raises funds for 170
affiliated pediatric facilities serving 14 million children each year in the United States and Canada.
Locally generated donations stay in the community to help treat children suffering from a wide
variety of afflictions including cancer, AIDS, cystic fibrosis, birth defects and trauma.
Bledsoe is the national co-chairman of the nonprofit organization.
The Cougar trio lithograph is part of the Champion Images for Kids Program, in which sports
and entertainment personalities allow their fame to be used to generate additional funding for the
Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
Sports artist Roger Whitney created the original painting that is being used to make the
lithographs. The prints are autographed by the artist and the three quarterbacks.
The 23″x 29″ unframed prints cost $475 each. $50 from each purchase will go to the
Washington State Cougar Club for the Andrew Rypien Memorial Football Scholarship. The
