Swing Band Due at WSU July 10

PULLMAN, Wash. — “JUMP UP!,” a seven-piece swing band from Seattle, will provide the music for a free swing dance July 10 on the Washington State University campus.
The dance, sponsored by the School of Music and Theatre Arts and the WSU Summer Recreation Committee, is planned for 8 p.m. in the Compton Union Building’s Carey Ballroom. All ages are invited.
Founded by the guitar team of Steven Corbin and David Kosins, JUMP UP! adds three-part harmony with the sounds of such 1940’s hepcats as Louis Jordan, Big Joe Turner and T-Bone Walker. The group performs at nightclubs, dance camps, concert series, and blues and swing festivals throughout the Northwest.
