WSU Press Book Sales Set For April 16 & 17

PULLMAN, Wash. — Hundreds of books about Northwest and western history, people, and
politics, as well as art and poetry, will be available at the annual WSU Press Spring Cleaning Sale,
set for Friday, April 16, from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
Slightly damaged books, including “A Chain of Hands” by Carol Ryrie Brink; “North Bank
Road: The Spokane, Portland & Seattle Railway” and “Taoism and the Rite of Cosmic Renewal,”
to name a few, will be on sale for savings of up to 70 percent off their original prices. In addition,
new copies of all WSU Press titles will be discounted by 20 percent.
A popular element of the sale is the selection of overstock books available for as little as $1
to $3 each. Among these overstock titles are “Fighting the Odds: The Life of Senator Frank
Church,” “Panoramas of Promise: Pacific Northwest Cities and Towns on 19th-Century
Lithograhs” and “Built in Washington: 12,000 Years of Pacific Northwest Archaeological Sites
and Historic Buildings.”
The April 16 sale will be held at the WSU Press offices in the Cooper Publications Building
on Grimes Way on the WSU campus. A limited number of parking spaces will be reserved for
sale customers in the Blue Lot across the street from Cooper Publications building. All sales are
on a first-come, first-served basis, and quantities on some titles are limited. No telephone orders
will be taken until noon on the day of the sale.
On Saturday, April 17, the sale moves to the Holland Library rotunda on the WSU campus
from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. At the special Mom’s Weekend sale, new copies of selected recent titles will
be available at 20 percent off their original prices and selected overstock and damaged books will
be available at discounts up to 70 percent. For more information about either of the sales, contact
