PULLMAN, Wash. — “African Delight,”a collection of stories, dances and songs from around Africa, will be performed Friday, Feb. 26, as part of Washington State University’s celebration of Black History Month.
Three WSU undergraduates will perform the program, directed by Phyllis Gooden-Young, a WSU instructor of dance. It is set for 11:30 a.m. in Daggy Hall’s Wadleigh Theatre on the WSU campus.
For hundreds of years, African stories and songs have been passed down through the generations to teach as well as entertain, said Gooden-Young.
A $2 donation is requested at the door. Group rates are available.
