Veterinary College Expands Exotic Animal Care Hours

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine has extended exotic animal care service hours to Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Exotic animal care at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital is also available on Saturdays by appointment only.
Veterinarians in exotic care see a variety of animals, including such popular pets as birds, ferrets, hedgehogs, rodents and rabbits. In addition, the unit is responsible for the care and return to their habitat of many types of wild animals.
The permanent change is designed to accommodate the requests for additional service hours from the pet-owning public.
In the past, exotic animal care services were available weekday afternoons only and on Friday by appointment.
Call the WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital at 509/335-0711 for appointments.
