Comedians Shafer, Miller Set for WSU Dad’s Weekend

PULLMAN, Wash. — Comedians Ross Shafer and George Miller will highlight special events Saturday, Oct. 31, during Dad’s Weekend activities on the Washington State University campus.
The 8 p.m. performance is set for the Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum.
Shafer, a Seattle native, is a six-time Emmy award winner for the TV show “Almost Live.” He hosted the USA network “Love Me, Love Me Not,” the new ABC network “Match Game” and Fox network’s “The Late Night.” Shafer has also published a cookbook, “Cook-Like-A-Stud,” and is now in Seattle hosting a weekly interview show, “Off Stage with Ross Shafer.”
Miller, also a Seattle native, started out as a professional pool player. His comedy career started at the Comedy Store, and Miller eventually appeared on the “Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson. This appearance would lead to more than 100 visits on the late night program and on “David Letterman.” Miller is writing a full-length feature film in which he hopes to star.
Tickets are $10 and can be ordered by calling the coliseum box office, 509/335-1514, or any G&B Select-a-Seat outlet at 800/325-SEAT.
