ICNE Nurses Have Best Pass Rate

SPOKANE, Wash. — Students from the Intercollegiate Center for Nursing Education/Washington
State University College of Nursing are at the head of the class when it comes to the National College
Licensure Examination for baccalaureate-prepared registered nurses in Washington State.
The 117 ICNE graduates who took the test recently had the highest pass rate among all four-year
colleges in Washington State. The ICNE consistently has the largest number of candidates and the highest
success rate among baccalaureate-prepared nurses in Washington State.
“The faculty and staff are very pleased with the success of our graduates,” said Anne Hirsch, associate
dean for Academic Affairs. “The high pass rate in the licensing exam is just one of the indicators of the
quality nursing education provided by the ICNE/WSU College of Nursing.”
The ICNE/WSU College of Nursing is a joint educational venture of Eastern Washington University,
Washington State University and Whitworth College with five sites across Washington State — Spokane,
Tri-Cities, Yakima, Vancouver and Wenatchee. Founded in 1968, the ICNE is the nation’s oldest and largest
nursing education consortium, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
