Career Fair Scheduled for WSU, UI Students Tuesday

PULLMAN, Wash. — Officials expect as many as 2,500 students to take part in the third annual
Career Expo event scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the Kibbie Dome on the University of Idaho campus.
The event is jointly sponsored by Washington State University and UI and rotates yearly between the
two campuses.
National, regional and local representatives of 160 companies, government agencies and non-profit
organizations will be available to talk with students about job and internship opportunities. Hours are 9
a.m-3 p.m.
Ronda McLean, WSU career counselor, said about 1,500 WSU students are expected to attend. Direct
bus service from WSU to the Kibbie Dome is being provided by Wheatland Express.
She said Tuesday’s event will provide an excellent opportunity for students of any level or any major
to learn about career opportunities and employment expectations. Many of the employer representatives
Tuesday will be scheduling job interview appointments to be conducted at the Kibbie Dome on
Wednesday.
McLean said the increasing number of employers participating in Career Expo is indicative of the
robust economy and the competition between companies for graduates.
