PULLMAN, Wash. — A teleconference on AIDS treatment and research will be aired at 7 p.m. Sept. 16 in Washington State University’s Compton Union Building Cascade Room 124.
Sponsored by the WSU Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Allies Program and the Stonewall Health Project, the event includes video from the 12th World AIDS Conference, held June 28-July 3 in Geneva, Switzerland.
Free to the public, the teleconference will include “researchers and treatment advocates in Geneva discussing the most recent information on anti-retroviral therapy, resistance, immune reconstitution, and adhering to medical treatment regimens,” says Melynda Huskey, WSU GLBA Program director. After the teleconference, those in the viewing room in Pullman will have an opportunity to discuss the issues and data presented at the conference.
