WSU Veterinary College to Hold Annual Conference April 3-4

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine will hold its Annual Conference for Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians April 3-4 at the WSU Compton Union Building.
The conference features a series of seven courses consisting of lectures and lab sessions providing continuing education opportunities for veterinarians from throughout the region. The seven courses cover lameness in cattle, equine dentistry, small animal medicine and surgery, small animal infectious diseases, small animal ear care, small animal exotics and a technician course. The small animal ear care will only be offered Friday, and the small animal exotics will only be offered Saturday.
More than 200 veterinarians and technicians from the Northwest are expected to attend the two-day conference. WSU veterinarians and technicians will be lecturing in several courses, and some 27 veterinary vendors will have exhibits on display in the CUB Friday and Saturday morning.
At the close of Friday’s programs a reception will be held consisting of the presentation of the Distinguished Veterinary Alumnus Awards and a farewell to Dean Borje Gustafsson as he nears retirement from the College of Veterinary Medicine.
