High School Students, Families Due for WSU Preview April 4

PULLMAN, Wash. — More than 1,000 high school students and their parents who are looking at colleges and universities will be on the Washington State University campus Saturday, April 4, to get a taste of what it is like to be a Cougar.
Sponsored by the Office of Admissions, “WSU Preview” begins at 8:30 a.m. at the university’s Lighty Student Services Building with check-in and a department fair that features more than 50 WSU academic units and organizations. Deadline for registration is March 20.
Participants also will be able to sample college classes, visit residence halls, sororities and fraternities, and tour the campus as part of the planned activities. Many faculty members will be making short classroom presentations for the prospective students, explained April Seehafer, event coordinator.
Also on the day’s schedule is a typical lunch in one of the university dining halls and a slide show about WSU students and their lives at the university.
Fee for the day-long event is $15, which includes lunch. For registration materials, call the admissions office, 335-5586. For information about area housing, call the Pullman Chamber of Commerce 1-800/ENJOY-IT.
