WSU Alumni Association Sponsors Career Program

PULLMAN, Wash.–Perfecting the job search and learning to be competitive in today’s job market are among the topics that will be discussed during a Sept. 17 career program sponsored by Washington State University’s Alumni Association.
Linda Carlson, a 1973 WSU graduate and author of “How to Find a Good Job in Seattle,” will provide details and techniques for every level of job search at the 6:30-8:30 p.m. program set for Room 1141A at Seattle Central Community.
The 1980 Harvard Business School graduate and long-time career liaison adviser will teach participants how to research what employers want, evaluate their marketability, create effective cover letters and resumes and participate in successful interviews.
The program fee is $10 for WSU Alumni Association members, $15 for non-members and $20 at the door on a space available basis. Registration begins at 6 p.m. and parking near the college is available for $3. The pre-registration deadline is Sept. 10. To reserve a spot, call 1-800/258-6978.
