Opening reception for Marian E. Smith Glass Collection May 22 at WSU Museum of Art

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University Museum of Art is inviting the public to a reception/unveiling of the Marian E. Smith Glass Collection, 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, in the Smith Center for Undergraduate Education Atrium. Light refreshments will be served.

This collection, which features a wide variety of contemporary glass works, was initiated with a donation from Marian E. Smith. Through ongoing donations the collection has continued to grow, highlighting the works many influential Pacific Northwest glass artists.

The exhibit will remain on permanent display for anyone visiting the Pullman campus.

The WSU Museum of Art extends its thanks to WSU alumni Roger and Nancy MacPherson; WSU President Emeritus Samuel H. Smith and Pat Smith, and Marian E. Smith, whose vision and generosity have made the current collection possible.
