Snow forecast

Weather service warns that Friday commute may be icy

Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012

PULLMAN, Wash. – A bit of snow may fall from the sky on Washington State University Pullman today (Dec. 6), but it likely will have a tough time accumulating, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Spokane. However, motorists are warned that overnight temperatures of right around freezing could make the Friday morning commute an icy one.

Mountainous areas to the north and south could see anywhere from 4 to 18 inches on the ground by late Friday, so travelers are encouraged to check pass conditions before they head out.
