Presentations address benefits, retirement options

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University Human Resource Services and Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association – College Retirement Equities Fund will hold three presentations between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16 in Todd Hall 311. These presentations will cover midcareer benefits and preretirement topics. 
 
The midcareer benefit review session will begin a 2 p.m. in Todd Hall 311. During this presentation, HRS personnel will provide an overview of the benefits package offered to WSU employees. Representatives from TIAA-CREF will also discuss setting financial goals, market timing, tax advantages and other financial topics.
 
There will be two preretirement sessions from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in Todd Hall 311. This presentation is designed for individuals who are only five to 10 years away from retirement. HRS personnel will review topics such as retiree medical/dental insurance options, life insurance options and other retirement-related topics. Representatives from TIAA-CREF will address topics that simplify retirement, including asset allocation, retirement income options and more.
 
These presentations are free to WSU employees. Registrations is not required to attend, but is encouraged and can be completed online. Follow the links included above and click the play button link below the course title, click the session number and hit ‘enroll me.’
