Research appointment

Alumna explores habitat restoration in river basin

MONTCLAIR, N.J. – Meiyin Wu, associate professor at Montclair State University and Washington State University alumna, has been appointed director of the university’s Passaic River Institute for Environmental Research and Education. This institute promotes environmental research and seeks solutions to problems within the Passaic River Basin and the surrounding land.
 
Wu graduated from WSU in 1995 with her master’s in environmental science and in 1999 with her Ph.D. in environmental and natural resource sciences. She taught at the Center for Earth and
Related
Environmental Science at the State University of New York before joining Montclair State University as a professor of biology and molecular biology.
