What is WSU News?

WSU News is the central news office for Washington State University. Its staff partners with WSU public relations, communications and advancement professionals statewide to provide accurate, timely news to students, faculty, staff, citizens and the media.

Our goal is to provide one-stop, easy resource for keeping up with major university news — including articles, videos, photos and multimedia, via the internet, social media and mobile devices.

The WSU News staff oversees the WSU News website, media relations, WSU Announcements and the universitywide WSU Calendar. It also monitors media coverage, and manages the WSU News and Washington State University Facebook sites, and the WSU News and WSU Pullman Twitter sites.

WSU News is part of the office of Advancement and External Affairs, located in French Administration Building, Room 446, Pullman, WA 99164-1040.

The WSU News website, located at http://news.wsu.edu, is updated daily throughout the regular school year.

The staff also produces an e-newsletter that provides links to the most recent articles. The e-newsletter is sent out daily during the regular academic year and twice a week during summer and winter breaks. It is delivered to about 8,100 faculty, staff, students and subscribers. (Non-employees can sign up for the e-newsletter by clicking the "Newsletter Signup" button in the right-hand column on the WSU News Center page.)

Or people can subscribe to an RSS feed by simply clicking on the RSS feed icon also located on the WSU News Center page and then clicking on the "Subscribe Now" button.

WSU News provide insights into the work being done by university faculty, students and researchers statewide, including: agriculture, engineering, education, architecture, plant pathology, biosciences, global animal health, liberal arts, education, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, environmental science, crop and soil sciences, music, horticulture, organic farming and food, business, economics, nursing, athletics, communications, entomology, health sciences, sleep, athletics, transportation, etc.
