WSU Symphony Orchestra closes season April 17 featuring student concerto winner on violin

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State University Symphony Orchestra will conclude the 2011-12 season in a free, public concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, in Bryan Hall theater on the WSU Pullman campus.
Chamber orchestra works featuring brass fanfares will highlight the first half, culminating in Mozart’s "Symphony No. 39 in Eb Major.” The second half of the program will showcase the orchestra’s concerto competition winner, Chelsea Gallo, performing Dvorak’s "Violin Concerto.” The concert will conclude with Rimsky-Korsakov’s virtuosic overture, "Russian Easter Festival.”
