PULLMAN, Wash. – A video highlighting Washington State University’s efforts toward energy efficient transportation opens with students commenting on Pullman’s notoriously challenging hills.

Made by Cable 8 Productions, WSU's award-winning student-run television station, the video has been entered in the third annual student video contest sponsored by furniture design company Herman Miller.

The contest invites videos that answer the question "What makes your campus green?” Prizes range from $2,500 for first to $1,000 for third.

Cable 8 is advised by Marvin Marcelo, clinical associate professor and associate dean in WSU’s Edward R. Murrow College of Communication.

In addition to classic pieces and new designs for the home, Herman Miller develops solutions for healthcare environments and related technologies and services.
