PULLMAN, Wash. - After months of preparation, analyzing processes, converting processes and migrating data, the next zzusis modules, advising and student records, are anticipated to go live at Washington State University on March 12.
This is a large go-live and every effort has been made to address all of the possible areas that these modules will impact; however, rolling out systems of this scope and breadth may present unanticipated challenges over the next few weeks as some processes are fine tuned.
The advising module will give students, advisors and faculty timely access to academic records and reports. The student records module will help manage all aspects of enrollment, including catalog and class schedule maintenance, prerequisite restrictions, class start and end dates, waitlists, academic programs, transcripts and analysis.
These new zzusis systems will greatly improve service to prospective and current students and streamline processes for faculty and staff.
Assistance with access
The zzusis team and registrar’s office have worked with individuals and WSU units to make sure those working in the advising or student records modules have appropriate access to do their jobs.
Those who find they do not have the access they need or who have questions about access may contact the Help Desk at 509-335-4357 (HELP) or helpdesk@wsu.edu for assistance.
Training ongoing
Opportunities for training are available for learning how to release advising holds (now called service indicators within zzusis). This training is for anyone, faculty and staff, who advises undergraduate and/or professional program students.
Training will be offered through March 14. For a list of sessions and to sign up, visit http://hrs.wsu.edu/zzusis. If you have questions about release advising holds training, please contact Lisa Laughter at laughterl@wsu.edu or 509-335-4734.
Student records module training is being planned; more information will be available soon.
