PULLMAN, Wash. – “Brahms and Friends,” a program of romantic trios for violin, cello and piano, will be performed by the Palouse Trio at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in Bryan Hall as part of the Faculty Artist Series at Washington State University.

Tickets will be for sale in the lobby 30 minutes before the concert. They are free to WSU students with ID. The cost is $10 general admission and $5 for non-WSU students and those age 60+.
The concert will feature trios of Johannes Brahms and two of his female colleagues, Clara Schumann and Luise Adolpha Le Beau. The program will begin with the beautiful andante movement from Schumann’s only chamber work, “Piano Trio in G minor, Op. 17,” followed by Le Beau’s fiery “Piano Trio, Op. 15” and concluding with Brahms’ famous “Piano Trio No. 2 in C Major, Op. 87.”
The Palouse Trio is comprised of WSU School of Music faculty members Meredith Arksey, violin, Ruth Boden, cello, and Karen Savage, piano.
