Feb. 27: Brass trio, quintet standards performed

PULLMAN, Wash. – A brass trio and quintet at Washington State University will perform a concert in the Faculty Artist Series at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, in Bryan Hall. Series proceeds support the School of Music’s scholarship fund.

The groups will perform four standard pieces from the brass trio and brass quintet repertoire: “Trio for Brass” by Vaclav Nelhybel, “Trio for Brass” by Anthony Plog, “Armenian Scenes” by Alexander Auriutian and “Quintet” by Victor Ewald.

The performers, all on faculty in the WSU School of Music, include David Turnbull on trumpet, Matthew Aubin on horn, Chris Dickey on euphonium, Chris Wurst on trumpet and Denise Snider on trombone.

Tickets will be available in the lobby 30 minutes before concert time; they are free for WSU students with ID, $10 for general admission and $5 for seniors 60+ and non-WSU students.
