March 7: Vocal recital highlights lesser known works

vocal-recital-poster-130PULLMAN, Wash. – Some of the most beautiful music you’ve never heard will be presented in a free, public graduate student recital at 3:10 p.m. Friday, March 7, in Bryan Hall at Washington State University.

Soprano vocalist Amanda Vander Woude will perform sweeping French melodies, heart-wrenching American lyrics and passionate Spanish music. Works will be by George Frideric Handel, Fanny Mendelssohn, Henri Duparc, Fernando Obradors, Vittorio Giannini and Gian Carlo Menotti.

Collaborative pianist is Juliana Witt. Guest artist is Ruth Boden on cello.

The recital is partial fulfillment of the requirement of the master of arts degree with an emphasis in vocal performance at the WSU School of Music.
