Mike Trevisan named dean at College of Education

Mike TrevisanPULLMAN, Wash. – President Elson S. Floyd Wednesday announced the permanent appointment of Mike Trevisan as dean of the Washington State University College of Education effective immediately.

“In a very short amount of time, Mike has set a new trajectory for the College of Education that is exciting and has the support of the faculty,” Floyd said. “His progress as interim dean has been very promising, and I look forward to working with him on a long-term basis.”

Trevisan called the appointment “an honor.”

“I look forward to supporting and building on the wonderful work of faculty, staff and students and positioning the college to progress to the next level,” he said.

Trevisan has served as interim dean of the college since January. He joined WSU in 1997. He holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Washington.

He served as associate director of the WSU Learning and Performance Research Center and as associate dean for research and external funding in the college.
